Good leaders tend to fall into one of these categories:

The Dominant. The Friendly. The Achievement-oriented.

A lot of interesting ideas about leadership packed into this one.

What stood out to me most is that these labels are never really absolute.

People don’t fit neatly into one box.

A leader can be dominant when a difficult decision has to be made, friendly when the team needs support, and achievement-oriented when everyone needs a push toward a bigger goal.

And if we’re lucky enough, at some point in our careers we get to work under someone who knows when to shift between those different styles.

Maybe that’s what good leadership really looks like.

Not choosing one personality and sticking with it forever, but understanding the people around you, reading the situation, and knowing when to lead differently.

Because sometimes people need direction.

Sometimes they need encouragement.

And sometimes they just need someone who believes they can do better.
